The kids are back at school. It seems Autumn has unofficially begun already here in the UK đ. And I donât know about you but September always has ânew yearâ vibes for me.
If youâre ready to regroup after the summer and focus on growing your business, I have shared 10 things you can focus on to bring in more of your ideal clients.
Read through the list and prioritise one to begin with and then come back and choose another, so you donât get overwhelmed trying to do everything at once!
1) DEFINE YOUR NICHE & IDEAL CLIENT
Focus on a specific target marketâwhether itâs corporate professionals, brides, plus-size, business owners or fashion-forward mums.
Specialising allows you to market yourself as an expert in that area.
2) Build a Strong Personal Brand
Make sure your social media, website, portfolio and personal image clearly communicate your values, expertise, personality, and style, so that othersâespecially potential clientsârecognise and connect with your brand.
(If you are a Personal Stylist, YOU are your brand. People might follow you for your great tips but your clients will hire you based on how you look!)
3) Offer Packages
Create attractive packages for your Ideal Clientâs needs so people arenât just buying one-off sessions.
4) Offer Virtual Services
Expand your reach by offering virtual consultations. This opens up your business to clients outside of your local area and makes your services more accessible.
5) CONTENT MARKETING
Regularly post tips, client transformations, and behind-the-scenes content. This builds credibility and helps potential clients find you through content marketing.
Think about what your Ideal Clients are searching for online and create that content!
6) Create a Referral Program
Offer incentives like discounts, complimentary services or gift for clients who refer you to others.
Word-of-mouth is an incredibly powerful growth tool.
7) GROW & NUTURE YOUR EMAIL LIST
Create a freebie (lead magnet) that your Ideal Clients would love to hand their email address over for.
Then regularly email them to build relationships, trust, and eventually convert them into paying clients.
8) Host Workshops or Webinars
Organise in-person or virtual events to teach people how to improve their personal style (or whatever you help people with).
This positions you as an expert and can lead to new client bookings.
9) Network Events
Attend industry events, shows, and networking meet-ups to connect with potential clients and other professionals who could refer business to you.
10) Collaborate with OTHER Businesses*
Partner with local business: boutiques, salons, photographers, and makeup artists for cross-promotion etc. Itâs a great way to get in front of new potential clients.
If you offer virtual services then the opportunities for this are endless.
