The Power of Manifesting Your Goals: How Ariana Grande's Dream of Playing Glinda Can Inspire Your Business Growth

Have you seen the new Wicked film yet? I watched it on Sunday night with my sister and niece and we LOVED IT!

There’s an incredible tweet doing the rounds that Ariana Grande posted 13 years ago.

This was the tweet from 2011:

“Loved seeing Wicked again... amazing production! Made me realize again how badly I want 2 play Glinda at some point in my life! #DreamRole.”

Fast forward to today, and Ariana is of course Glinda in the movie!

Talk about manifesting your dreams into reality!

So, what does this have to do with business?

Well, Ariana’s journey shows the power of knowing what you want, writing down your goal, and taking action.

By sharing her goal publicly, Ariana put her dreams out into the world. It wasn’t just wishful thinking—she worked hard, honed her craft, and seized every opportunity. This is a powerful lesson for all of us, especially when it comes to growing our businesses.

In this post, let’s dive into how writing your goals into existence can help you get clear, stay focused, and ultimately turn your business dreams into reality!

How can you apply this to your own business?

1. Know What You Want

Ariana had a clear vision of her dream role: Glinda. In your business, getting crystal clear about what you want is just as important. Want to attract more clients? Boost your sales? Launch that new service? Being specific about what you want makes it easier to take action and make it happen. Know the number of clients, income and how you want to feel running your business.

2. Write It Down

Writing down your goals makes them real. Ariana’s tweet wasn’t just a passing thought—it was her way of putting her dream out into the world. Whether you write your goals down in a notebook, or share them on social media, you’re creating a commitment. This simple act can make a huge difference in how seriously you take your goals.

3. EMBRACE THE FEELING THAT YOUR DESIRE IS ALREADY YOUR REALITY

Ariana has also publicly shared that playing Glinda was her dream role and that she’d “do anything” to bring it to life. It’s clear she invested significant time imagining what it would feel like to embody the character—before, during, and after writing that tweet. You can even find videos on YouTube of her singing the songs and sharing stories about meeting the original Broadway Glinda when she was just 8 years old. This is a beautiful example of how harnessing the power of your mind and deeply connecting with your vision can help you manifest your dreams into reality.

Make it a daily practice to see your ideal clients and business as if they’re already part of YOUR life.

Doing the mindset work to step into the feeling of already having achieved your goals is the key to manifestation results. When you align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with the reality you want to create, it enhances your focus, confidence, and belief in the possibility of success.

Here are three practical ways to implement this:

1. Visualisation Practice

Spend a few minutes each day vividly imagining yourself in the situation you desire. For example, picture yourself confidently running your business, engaging with happy clients, and celebrating milestones.

2. Affirmation Journaling

Write down your goals as if they’ve already come true. Use the present tense and include specific details. For instance:
“I am so grateful for my thriving business. My ideal clients reach out to me daily, and I love helping them achieve their goals. My work feels fulfilling and abundant.”

3. Embody the Feeling

Speak your desires out loud with conviction, as though you’re already living them. Additionally, incorporate actions into your day that reflect this reality—such as dressing for success, organising your workspace for growth, or networking as if your dreams are already materialised.

By consistently practicing this mindset, you’re rewiring your brain to align with the outcomes you desire. It’s not just about dreaming—it’s about feeling, believing, and taking intentional actions that bring your vision to life.

4. Take Action

This is where the magic happens. Ariana didn’t just tweet her dream and wait for it to come true. She worked hard, honed her craft, and seized every opportunity to get closer to her goal. In your business, once you’ve written down your goals, it’s time to take action. Whether it’s refining your marketing, reaching out to potential clients, or improving your services—every step gets you closer.

Just like Ariana’s tweet led her to her dream role, your goals can come to life when you speak them out loud, write them down, and take action to make them happen.

Ready to manifest your business dreams? Let’s get clear, write them down, and take action! ✨
